Born To Cache

I was always in awe of people who ride motorcycles. The almost mystical aura of confidence and adventurous spirit surrounds them. They sweep by smelling of fresh air in their creased leather and heavy boots. Eventually I could resist the urge no longer and quickly joined their ranks. I had always ridden off road, but a road bike changed everything. It felt like my whole life had been elevated. I tried to explain in words how it felt to the gentleman I worked with who had been riding for years. He just smiled through my stumbling attempt to describe the feeling. Finally, he lines forward and said to me in a conspiratorial whisper "It feels so good you wonder if it's actually legal, don't you?" He was right, it felt too good to be true. It felt like the perfect hiking day on the perfect trail, but all in fast-forward. It's wonderful.

Lately I've noticed a large number of cachers are out there exploring their world on cycles. Whether pedaling along, cruising along or racing along, they're putting on the miles, racking up cache numbers and just enjoying the heightened senses of life on two wheels. This coin is a nod to all those who get out on their bikes to cache. Scooters, mopeds, dirtbikes, cruisers, Harley's, racebikes, vintage are all wonderful steeds to take you to the next cache. The stories of those caching days will be told again and again and become legends in time. Live fast, Cache Hard because you were (or someone you know is) Born to Cache on Two Wheels! ....
